1. In Eastern Europe, recent efforts towards democratization have begun to address women’s issues, but the fundamental inequality is starkly demonstrated in the continuation of domestic violence and in its broadest public expression: the abduction, deception, coercion, selling and even killing of women by traffickers.

В Восточной Европе в последнее время стали приниматься меры по демократизации в целях решения проблем женщин, однако явным свидетельством фундаментального неравенства служит сохранение домашнего насилия в его самых широких публичных проявлениях: похищение, обман, принуждение, продажа и даже убийство женщин торговцами.

2. The means mentioned in article 3 (b) are enumerated in article 3 (a) as follows: “the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation”.

В статье 3 (b) упомянуты следующие средства воздействия, перечисленные в статье 3 (а): "угроза силой или ее применения и другие формы принуждения, похищения, мошенничества, обмана, злоупотребления властью или уязвимостью положения, либо путем подкупа, в виде платежей или выгод, для получения согласия лица, контролирующего другое лицо, в целях эксплуатации".

3. The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or reception of persons, including the exchange or transfer of control over those persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation.

осуществляемые в целях эксплуатации вербовка, перевозка, передача, укрывательство или получение людей, в том числе обмен или передача контроля над такими людьми, путем угрозы силой или ее применения или других форм принуждения, похищения, мошенничества, обмана, злоупотребления властью или уязвимостью положения, либо путем подкупа, в виде платежей или выплат, для получения согласия лица, контролирующего другое лицо.
